The Rochelle Spence Dance Studio will perform Clara’s Dream, a dance/drama based on the traditional ballet story The Nutcracker. The dance students aged 3-18 years will perform in large colourful groups of Mice, Candies, Butterflies, Lollies, Dreams, Snow Angels, Flowers, Sunrise, Soldiers and Snowflakes. The senior students will take on the lead roles of Clara, Nutcracker Prince, Rat King and Queen, Mother, Queen of the Flowers, Gardener, Queen of Sweets, Cook and Snow Queen.
During the first half of the 2-hour performance students will perform 10 short dance items in various dance styles – classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical.
An entertaining soundtrack, colourful scenery, and video projections will ensure this show will be enjoyed by an audience of all ages.
