The theatre has a seating capacity of 993. The stunning auditorium is available for hire for everything from stage
productions to corporate launches.
The circular Pan Pac foyer offers yet another stunning environment in which to entertain, exhibit, conference or simply
hold an unforgettable function.
Seating 300 theatre-style or 80 banquet-style this attractive foyer is an ideal small entertainment venue complete with
full bar servery facilities.
The Pan Pac foyer is also home to the Napier agency of Ticketek and TicketDirect two of New
Zealand's largest ticket booking agencies. The friendly and helpful Ticketing staff can assist you with up and coming

 Brief History
Napier's well-loved theatre became a total ruin in the 1931 Earthquake. A new 1154 seat theatre was rebuilt and opened for its
first performance on the 3rd June 1938. Some improvements were made over the next fifty years until the formation of a
development committee in 1987.
Redevelopment of the theatre began in 1992 and was completed in two stages over the next
five years. Stage two was completed in 1997 making the Napier Municipal Theatre one of the most modern venues in the
country and with its art deco heritage this theatre is truly unique. |
