We are committed to being an accessible venue for our community including both artists and patrons.

As everyone’s access needs are different please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss a proposed event or prior to booking your tickets.

Visitors and Patrons

For our patrons and visitors our front of house offers:

• Accessible ramp at the main entrance
• Ten accessible seats available in our auditorium stalls booked at our Ticketing Office in the main foyer – please discuss with our staff if you require an additional seat for a support person.
• Lift access to the mezzanine floor
• Two Accessible toilets located in the Port Of Napier Foyer
• An audio loop which amplifies the sound of the performance for those with hearing aids – again please discuss your requirements with our staff

Artists and Support Personnel

For our artists and support personnel our back of house offers:

• Accessible access to the dock and stage via the stage door
• Accessible dressing rooms
• Accessible shower and toilet

Mobility Parking

Two mobility parks are available immediately next to the Theatre. One is in the adjacent Tiffen carpark and the other on the lower level of the next door parking building

Service Dogs

Licensed hearing and guide dogs are welcome at the Napier Municipal Theatre. Discuss your requirements with our staff so we can arrange adequate seating for you both.

Sensory Sensitivity Needs

We want to ensure everyone feels comfortable whilst visiting the Napier Municipal Theatre. If you need support, again please contact us so we can assist your experience to make it as stress-free as possible. We are very happy to offer you’re a theatre tour to familiarise you with the layout and access.
