Festival Opera - La Traviata - ADF19

Violetta Valery is a glamorous Parisian courtesan and a prized beauty. But all beauty fades, and knowing this, Violetta fights to protect the one pure thing in her life that could never die.

As her suffering intensifies she is forced to live with the pain of her decision. She is one of Verdi’s most noble of heroines and is brought to life by our cover girl the stunning Polish soprano Anna Patalong. New Zealand tenor Shaun Dixon sings Alfredo, evoking the spirit of Pavarotti with whom the tenor had the good fortune to train.

Yet again, Festival Opera presents a stellar international and local cast. The orchestra is a star in its own right and Festival Opera continues to partner with Project Prima Volta to showcase young talent.
