Ticketing Team Leader

The Napier Municipal Theatre is an Art Deco heritage building with modern theatre facilities and is owned and operated by the Napier City Council. With a seating capacity of 993, the theatre is available for local, national and international live theatre and performing arts with all these events ticketed through our ticketing office located in the main foyer.

Purpose:

Reporting to the Venues Manager this position operates a ticketing office and provides support to the Sales and Marketing Manager Tourism Services to ensure sales and marketing opportunities for the Napier Municipal Theatre are met.

When required and on a contractual basis work with the Sales and Marketing Manager to support other Tourism Services facilities with sales and marketing.

The successful candidate will have proven:

• Customer Services skills with a friendly and approachable manner. • Staff leadership. 
• Venue and ticketing expertise. 
• Marketing skills with experience in digital media. 
• Working knowledge of general business practises.

This position requires a person with the following attributes: 

• Friendly and approachable manner. 
• Ability to facilitate a functional and successful working environment. 
• Ability to work flexible hours. 
• Excellent presentation on all levels for purpose of portraying professional image.

This is a permanent full-time position within Napier City Council’s Tourism Services Department. This position reports to the Venues Manager.
